The end is nigh...

Soon the tents will be taken down and you will all be packed and heading home. So what are your highlights of the Jamboree? What has made your Jamboree, what’s made you laugh and cry?

No Jamboree would be complete without those moments that make life long memories. There is always someone who has just had too much fun: “I don’t want to go home” said Lauren, 11 from 1st Silverend Scouts, of Aardvark Sub Camp.

“Everyone has been so welcoming and friendly. I’ve met so many people and I’m going to keep in touch with as many as possible” said Dani, 21 from Agrupament Escolta les Gavarres of Aardvark Sub Camp. “I’m a little sad to be going; I’ve really enjoyed my visit” said N?ria from the same group.

The Daisy Dairy Room has proved amazingly popular: “It was funny, we danced and we were singing. It talks to you, its kind of cool” said Roxanne, 12 from 1st Silverend Scouts of Aardvark Sub Camp.

If you wanted action, then ‘It’s a Knock-out’ was the place for you: “I liked it so much I could take it home with me” said Sam, 14.

But perhaps the most enduring memories of Jamboree are the friends we make while we are here: “We met some Scouts from Belfast; we’ve been chatting everyday and become good friends. We’ve all swapped emails and even our leaders have become good friends,” according to 13-year-old Ryan from 3rd Waltham Abbey Scouts.

So although it has all come to an end, we all have those happy memories and new friendships to remind us of this fantastic week in the sun.
