Entertainments

There will be a full and hugely diverse range of entertainments on offer throughout the week.
Each evening there will be live bands on the main stage and in the live marquee with a mix of music to hopefully to cover most tastes.

Daily Entertainments

The early evening entertainment kicks off daily from Sunday at 19.30 on the main outdoor stage in the Market Square with live entertainment. Meanwhile the live tent opens at 20.30 with three or more bands performing there nightly. The dance tent will also open at 20.30 each night with a disco theme. After a fun packed evening, entertainments in the Market Square will close between 22.30 and 22.45.

Soft Rock Café

Between the live and dance marquees you will find the Soft Rock Café where soft drinks such as smoothies, milkshakes and fruit cocktails as well as a selection of munchies.

 

Cinema

The Jamboree full size cinema provides the chance to chill out and watch a film. You can also send your nominations for what U or PG films you would like to view by emailing us at . Popcorn, sweets, soft drinks and other snacks will also be available to buy.

Games Room

The games room will provide fun with air hockey, bar football, pool and giant games.

 

Opening Ceremony
On the first day the Sub Camps will be led to the Market Square from 19.30 for an evening of celebration and the start of the Jamboree week. The Jamboree house band and orange coats will entertain us all until the main ceremony starts at 20.30. Please ensure that your Group is in uniform. The entertainment venues will open once the ceremony has finished so the party continues until bedtime.

Street Entertainments

Our team of street entertainers will perform nightly in the arena in the middle of the Market Square where you can join in and try your skills at juggling, poi, Diablo and devil sticks. Come and watch the nightly show that will sometimes include fire juggling and fire breathing.

Closing Ceremony
Sub Camps will depart their area for the Market Square at 19.30 and will join the resident
house band and orange coats until everyone has arrived and the carnival begins. Please come in your Sub Camp colour to fit in with the carnival theme. The party will continue in the Market Square until the final part of
the closing ceremony and the Jamboree will formally close at 23.00.

Dairy Room

You may be surprised to hear about a cow grazing during Jamboree in the Market Square! Don’t be alarmed this is just Daisy the Dairy room, a Big Brother inspired diary room. Daisy will be open throughout the day and evening.
